Paola Gianturco: Grandmother Power

Presentations and book signings

World renowned author and photojournalist Paola Gianturco will discuss her new book, “Grandmother Power: A Global Phenomenon” featuring 120 grandmothers in 15 countries on five continents who are fighting courageously and effectively against poverty, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation and human rights abuse.  Books will be available for purchase at six events in the Lower Mainland. Royalties from “Grandmother Power” benefit the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers Campaign, which supports African grandmothers who are raising children orphaned by AIDS. Programs are free but space is limited. Registration information for each event is given below.
