An urgent appeal… 
Stephen Lewis, founder of the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF), spoke out last week about the effects of the current freeze of HIV/AIDS funding from the US:
“The SLF is facing the greatest crisis since the nightmare days of the spread of AIDS in the 1990s and 2000s… Our best contribution at this perilous moment is to attempt to replace the resources that Trump has expunged.”

The lives of those living with the disease have been put at risk. This week, the Foundation responded with an appeal for help during this humanitarian crisis.

Through these unprecedented times, Greater Van Gogos stand in solidarity with all those in Africa affected by HIV/AIDS and this funding loss. We ask you to support the work of the SLF with a donation so their community-led programs can help make up current shortfalls. These programs focus on fighting HIV/AIDS at the grassroots level, addressing stigma, sharing knowledge, and encouraging treatment.
