Grandmothers Campaign update…

At our recent Greater Van Gogos gathering, the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, Stephen Lewis Foundation, gave an update on their community-based partner organizations (CBOs). A short video produced by HEAL Africa, based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, inspired us and showed the impact of our work on the daily lives of grandmothers in Africa.
HEAL’s Mothers of the Nation project supports grandmothers raising their grandchildren who have lost parents to the AIDS pandemic or armed conflict. This project includes health care for grandmother-led families, income generation programs, and education support for their grandchildren.
